皮克斯的《UP》出了有段時間了,感謝國內的譯制工作者,沒有將那個萬金油一樣的《XX總動員》帶到這部戲來,而是選擇通俗易懂的《飛屋環游記》。
和走王子公主happy ending路線的迪斯尼不同,皮克斯素以勇於創新、離經叛道出名。《玩具總動員》的貼近生活、《海底總動員》的家庭溫馨、《超人總動員》的戲謔、《機器人總動員》的新世紀愛情故事,都展現出皮克斯動畫人孜孜不倦追求完美的願望。
皮克斯出品,必屬精品。果不其然,《UP》在票房和評價上拿到了漂亮的「兩雙」。全球票房一路高歌猛進突破4億,同時在IMDb得到了8.6分的評分,是目前動畫電影的最高分數。事出有因,一部動畫片獲得如此高的盛譽必然有其出彩的地方,下面由筆者簡單的評價一下電影。
飛的不是屋,是寂寞
用了一個被用到惡俗的短語來形容片中人物。
卡爾,男,釘子戶孤寡老人。羅素,男,唧唧歪歪的童子軍少年。假如一定要在這兩個看似截然相反的兩個人物間找一個共同點的話,那就是寂寞。
影片開始,卡爾與艾莉,男孩和女孩的相識、男人和女人的相愛、老頭和老太的相依,感謝皮克斯,在不到十分鍾的篇幅里講述了一個平凡溫馨又不失曲折的故事。用迪斯尼的套路來說,這已經可以結束,下面就是happy forever的字幕了。可惜這是皮克斯,歲月如白駒過隙,上帝收走了卡爾的肋骨,那個攜手走過多年的人變成了回憶。卡爾和艾莉本是互補的兩塊,前者木訥少言,後者活潑多語,少了艾莉的調和,卡爾愈發的少言寡語,性格也變的古怪,假如沒有一場意外變故,他會像蝸牛一樣在自己的屋子裡慢慢化為時間的塵埃。
相比卡爾,那個和唐僧有的一拼的紅領巾小胖子更招人喜歡一點。但是隨著劇情的慢慢展開,觀眾發現這個表面光鮮的雞蛋下面也有著無數拼接留下的傷痕,缺少父愛的少年渴望用各種行為來吸引父親的注意。羅素一直掛在胸口的榮譽勛章讓人感到一陣心酸,一排沉甸甸的勛章不是為了五講四美,不是為了十佳傑出,僅僅是為了能見到父親一面。
飛,是人類自古的理想。從最早的將鳥的羽毛沾到身上期望得到飛行的力量,到用爆竹綁在椅子上的奇想,再到萊特兄弟那永載史冊的十二秒。影片中的飛,是通過無數氣球來實現的,這多多少少也和我們童年時候的奇思妙想有關,相信很多觀眾在看到氣球拉起房子的一刻都會會心的一笑——「這種事情,我也幻想過啊」。氣球不但拉起了房子,也帶走了始作俑者卡爾,帶走了躲在屋檐下的羅素,離開城市的喧囂和人世的羈絆,飛向了夢想中的「香格里拉」。陽光透過氣球灑下五彩斑斕的影子,編織出一副如夢又似幻的情景。這一刻,無論是為將要實現夢想而激動無比的卡爾,還是為抓沙錐鳥而莫名其妙被帶上天空的羅素,都獲得了新生。
雲的彼端,約定的地方
「Adventure is out there」貫穿了整部影片。查爾斯·曼茨是充滿幻想的少年們的偶像,他的座右銘也自然成為少年的格言。正是這句話,引導著卡爾結識了艾莉,引導著兩人的生活,引導了後來的飛屋歷險。
每個人都曾有過一些遠大的不切實際的理想,在成長中,這些理想在現實的沖擊下逐漸淡化,最後只留下一個名字,成為唏噓往事的代名詞。前往並居住在天堂瀑布是卡爾夫婦一生的夢想,雖然事情多有曲折,前往天堂瀑布的時間也一拖再拖,可貴的是他們從來都沒有放棄過這個夢想,哪怕是在艾莉去世後卡爾仍能在千辛萬險後到達目的地。《飛屋環游記》沒有好萊塢大片里拯救世界的魄力場面,沒有國產主旋律影片的高大全形象,沒有韓劇里分分和和拖拖拉拉的愛情催淚彈,就像班得瑞的音樂一樣,雲淡風輕,分外迷人與清新。影片之所以能吸引人,是因為它已經超出了動畫的一般印象,不是僅僅是做給兒童的喜劇,而是成年人亦能欣賞和理解的童話,沒有什麼比一個堅定的信念和堅貞的承諾更能打動在鋼筋水泥的壓抑下顯得麻木的人性。
涅盤
畫畫講究畫龍點睛的一筆,而電影後半部的一系列變故就是這點睛之筆。假如卡爾只是簡單的飛到了天堂瀑布邊定居下來,那麼電影充其量只能算是創意不錯,並沒有值得升華的地方。
凱文是原始森林裡的一種稀有鳥類,因為喜歡巧克力而和古怪老頭、胖子少年組成了冒險隊伍。而一直隱居在天堂瀑布附近的查爾斯·曼茨則為了抓到凱文不惜一切代價,在崇拜他的卡爾面前搖身一變為大反派。在曼茨要燒毀飛屋時,卡爾放棄了凱文選擇了保護凝聚亡妻思念的屋子。冥冥之中自有天意,在千辛萬苦到達天堂瀑布後,卡爾翻看亡妻留給自己的冒險相冊,他意外的發現了艾莉在這本冒險日誌上貼滿了他們幸福的婚後生活照片,以及一段遺言「感謝你帶給我最美好的一生,現在開始你自己的旅程吧,愛你的艾麗」。驀然回首,卡爾和艾莉的夢想雖然一直激勵著他們的生活,但是也逐漸成為生命中的一個包袱,為了這個包袱卡爾甚至放棄了一些本應享受的美好,況且少年時的探險願望本就包含著一絲「仁者無敵,勇者無畏」的意思,猶如頓悟一般,卡爾不再局限於常年的理想,動身前往曼茨的飛艇救助凱文和羅素。一番決斗後,失去浮力的飛屋緩緩的沒入雲層消失不見。雖然帶有一絲留戀,但是卡爾仍舊和羅素說道:「you know,it just a house」此情可待成追憶,只是當時已惘然。多多少少的,卡爾已經實現了當年的諾言,下面就是重新開始屬於自己的生活了。
老卡爾失去了飛屋得到了飛艇,小羅素贏得了亦父亦友的感情,本應墜毀的飛屋奇跡般的降落在了天堂瀑布旁。這是劇中人物的涅盤,也是皮克斯式的happy ending。
劇情之外的
皮克斯在多年的3D動畫製作過程中積累了豐厚的技術底蘊,在《飛屋環游記》中,無論是朦朧的光粒子化效果,還是無數氣球的相互動態關系,以及雨水打在窗戶上的物理演算,包括動物毛發的真實感,都顯得美輪美奐。使觀眾在欣賞劇情的同時獲得了視覺上的享受。

This was overall just an excellent movie. There is nothing negative that I have to say about this movie so I will just jump into a few of the things that I really liked about it. First, Doug and Kevin where so charming. Well, to be frank the entire movie is amazing charming in its own way, but Doug and Kevin especially. The movements of the bird are just amazing, and the things that the dogs say and do are exactly what you would expect a dog to do, they captured it perfectly. They were quirky and funny and lovable all at the same time, something that the guys over at Pixar are really good at.
The beginning of the movie was a bit more dark than I was expecting it be, but it set up the rest of the story so well. I felt like this was an animated movie, but really had a lot of meaning to just about anyone who watched it. There were some really hard-hitting moments, most in the early part of the movie, that really got the viewer emotionally attached to the characters. And I think that is important for the movie to work.
The only negative is that some of the events that occurred once they landed were a bit predictable. But it was still a fun ride the whole way through. None of this movie felt like filler or boring for even a second from the opening to the credits. The whole adventure feeling of the movie was exciting and engaging. And the progression of Mr. Fredricksen throughout the movie was heart-warming and satisfying.
Overall, this is just an amazing movie, and unquestionably my favorite animated movie I have ever seen.

Up is definitely one of the better
Pixar efforts. It's about the grandeur and excitement of flight and adventure.
The first ten minutes of the film about Carl Fredricksen and his life-long love
Ellie are surprisingly touching. It's heartbreaking to see him lose his wife
even at old age. With nothing left to do Fredricksen heads for South America,
but he's not alone. Russell, a Wilderness Explorer trying to earn his "Assisting
the Elderly" badge, has stowed away on the porch after being sent on a snipe
hunt by Carl the day before. The relationship of father and son that forms
between Fredricksen and Russell is completely believable. The filmmakers
certainly know how to make a film with endearing characters. The animation is
gorgeous. Several scenes in Up are some of the most memorable that I've ever
seen in animated films. Like other Pixar films Up is also very funny.
Thankfully, it's sweet humour instead of the gross humour that's present in many
of today's Hollywood films. In conclusion, Up is another daring, unusual and
beautiful animated film from Pixar that both children and alts will enjoy
watching. I highly recommend it.
